I have finally started my degree in communications (one that i hope to soon use in the field of public relations). I go to school everyday. I do my homework. I get coffee. I go to movies and watch football. I drive to chapel hill alot to see my older brother, Andrew. I miss my friends who have gone to college but, I am also thankful for those that I see on a daily basis and am also thankful (most of all) for the new ones that I have made. I hope to god that everyone else is doing well, and for those of you that I have not sseentwo for a very long time.... I hope that you know that I miss you most of all. (cough CHARLIE cough).
Life is swell, everybody. It's odd going back and reading my old posts. I was such a depressed teenage fuck, and I laugh at myself for ever thinking that any of this mattered as much as I could have sworn it did.. with every fiber of my being. But I guess that's what growing up means, right? Learning how retarded we all were and then laughing at ourselves for it?

So my dad and I sat on the second row last night in Blumenthal and watched Handel's Messiah. It was quite an experience in my opinion, mainly due to the fact that we were able to hear the soloists completely without the use of microphones (not to mention we were within distance to be spat on by the bass's furious singing). All 4 of the soloists and the conductor studied at Boston College at some point in their lives and the tenor did his undergraduate years at uncg. The vocals were spectacular, the symphony sounded amazing, and I ate at Ri Ra before-hand so all in all I enjoyed the night to the nth degree.
However, Operation Pick up Andrew From Chapel Hill went slightly off track when it took us over an hour to travel 13 miles on 85 near Kannapolis. Fuck hicks. :D

ALRIGHT EVERYBODY. My favorite kid in the whole world will be here the 14th through the 18th. Matt Whitwer!! The only problem is, one o fthe guys i work with left the store unlocked while he went and got food. Needless to say he's in deep shit and she gave ME his shifts which is kind of bittersweet. I'm working while my best friend is in town, but I also need the money like a crack whore.

Hey, this is Justin from AFM.
We are going to have a problem playing the show this friday,
unfortunately. I had ordered tickets for the trail of dead show in
atlanta (this friday) through my friend about a month ago, and he just
now tells me he has them and has a house for us to stay in. I had
totally forgotten about the show since he never gave me the tix, and
now Ive already payed $30 for them. Anyways, thats the pretty dumb
reason we arent going to play, Im very sorry. I personally would
suggest talking to another local like heartwood, something jed, etc.
Heartwood would be easy to book since nathan was already planning to
play anyways, so he wont have another show.

So I was sitting in my car this morning in the back lot after I came in... and I was listening to Water Night by Eric Whitacre. an amazing song. absolutely beautiful. Then I turn and look out my window... and as soon as I do... the sun breaks through the clouds and there's this bright light. It was gorgeous. So, my point is that when I saw all of that I realized that life is beautiful, people. You come across so many crazy people and so many ignorant ones. But all of them teach you something. Every trial that you go through teaches you something. From this moment on I declare that life is beautiful. And that although I am stressed as hell.... it's all worth it in the end.
